Connectivity loads add up over 24 hours. Use published average watts when available; treat peaks separately for inverter sizing.

One-liner: nameplateWh = (whPerDay × days × 1.15) / (0.90 × 0.90).
Always re-check continuous watts and surge against the station inverter.
Ballparks (verify on your kit)
- Phone hotspot: often tens of Wh/day if the phone is charging anyway — small vs fridge.
- Starlink Roam-class: public discussions often cite roughly 40–75 W average while online; 50 W × 8 h active = 400 Wh, idle policies vary widely.
Example: 50 W × 10 h = 500 Wh load → nameplate ≈ 710 Wh @ defaults for that slice alone. Combine with fridge before buying.
